Privacy Policy — Dharty (ધરતી)
1. Introduction
Dharty ("the App", "we", "us", "our") is a free mobile application built for farmers across India, providing daily agricultural market prices and price history. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App does and does not collect, and how any incidental data is handled.
2. Our Core Commitment: No Personal Data Collection
Dharty does not require account creation, sign-up, login, or any form of registration. You can use every feature of the App — Market price browsing, price history, favorites, and daily price reminders — without ever providing your name, phone number, email address, or any other personal identifier.
Any preferences you set within the App, such as your selected language, state, favorite crops, and price history settings (like your price unit and last selected district), are stored only on your own device and are never transmitted to us or linked to any identity.
To help price history load faster and work on a weak connection, the App also keeps a temporary copy of recently viewed price data and crop images on your device. This copy stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing the App's storage in your Android settings.
We do not build user profiles, we do not track individual farmers across sessions, and we have no server-side record of who is using the App.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
To be specific, Dharty does not collect:
- Your name, phone number, or email address
- Your precise device location — the App does not access your device's GPS location
- Financial information, bank details, or payment information
- Farm records, land records, or crop yield data tied to your identity
- Photos, contacts, or any files stored on your device
4. Data Collected by Third-Party Services
While Dharty itself collects nothing, a few third-party services the App relies on operate under their own data practices:
4.1 Advertising — Google AdMob
Dharty shows ads through Google AdMob as its sole source of revenue, which keeps the App available to every farmer at no cost. AdMob may automatically collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), general device information, and approximate location, in order to serve and measure ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us, under Google's own policies:

You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your Android device settings.
4.2 App Infrastructure — Google Firebase
Dharty uses Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config) to store and deliver market price and price history data, to send push notifications, and to receive simple on/off settings that let us turn ads in parts of the App on or off without releasing an app update. Remote Config only sends these settings from us to the App; the App does not send any personal information back as part of it. Dharty also uses Google Play Integrity to verify that requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App.
As with any Firebase service, Google may automatically process a technical installation identifier and basic device information to deliver these services, under Google's own policies (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy). We do not use this information to identify or track any individual farmer. This infrastructure is not used to create or maintain any individual user profile, because Dharty has no user accounts to attach one to.
5. Notifications
The App may ask for notification permission after onboarding is complete. This is entirely optional and non-blocking — declining it does not restrict any feature of the App.
Dharty sends two scheduled notifications a day with the latest available market prices. These are delivered through topic-based push notifications tied to the language and state you select within the App — for example, a farmer who selects Gujarati and Maharashtra receives Maharashtra's prices in Gujarati. This lets us deliver the right regional message to your device; it is never targeted to your individual name or identity, and no device is registered against a personal profile.
6. Children's Privacy
Dharty is a general-purpose informational app not specifically directed at children, and since we collect no personal data from anyone, we correspondingly collect none from children. If you believe a child has been improperly directed to provide information through the App, please contact us using the details below.
7. Data Security
Because Dharty does not collect or store personal data on our end, there is inherently very little of that nature to secure. The market price content shown in the App is delivered from a Firebase backend with write access restricted to authorized administrators only — the public can read this content but cannot alter it.
8. Third-Party Links
The App may occasionally include links to external websites or official data sources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any external site you visit through these links.
9. Official Download Source
Dharty is available only on the Google Play Store. We do not distribute the App through any other website, app store, or platform. A copy of Dharty obtained from any other source is not an official version, and we cannot verify its safety or how it handles your data. This Privacy Policy applies only to the official version of Dharty on Google Play, and we are not responsible for any fraud, loss, or harm arising from a copy downloaded from a third-party platform. Please install Dharty only from the Google Play Store.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page and inside the App, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India.
